As always, we encourage questions and a high level of interaction with our speakers from the audience.
“Hooters is probably one of the strongest visual brands with an experience in the United States,” said founding SMAC member, David Moon. “It’ll be fascinating to explore how they take their offline experience and engage their followers and fans online.”
Inviting and hosting large local brand to discuss their social marketing strategy is not new to the Alliance. Their first luncheon in May of this year featured Emily Barnett of McKee Foods. “People really got an inside look at how a big brand uses social media—and the discussed methods were often relatable to the audience’s own efforts. Social media is not always about dollars spent, or the amount of fans or followers that you have influence over. Sometimes it’s about thinking ahead, goal-setting and a little old-fashioned marketing and public relations know-how,” said Moon. “Many marketers already have a good set of tools available that they can utilize—they just have to relearn how to apply them in the social space.”
Seating is limited to 30.
On Wednesday, September 21st, the Social Media Alliance and the local chapter PRSA (Public Relations Society of America) will jointly host a luncheon with featured guests from the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. More information on the topic and registration will follow later in August.
